This show is jam packed full of downtempo, instrumental hip hop, dubstep & all the usual weird and wonderful tracks I find diggin’ around soundcloud. I hope you enjoy it, and check out the links to the artist below…
I only heard of Tokimonsta recently but was immediately mesmerised by her tracks. There are great beats, and groovin soul throughout. This is a track from her Debut album released today. You can get “Midnight Menu” on itunes here.
I wanted to share the track below with you but I cant yet so, click on the track name link below and you will be able to listen… do it!!
I cant get enough of this track. The Owiny Sigoma Band have just been signed to Brownswood recording.. cant wait to hear more of their tracks! There is an album coming in the near future but until then… you can get a 12″ featuring these two tracks from the original session in Nairobi at the Brownswood Store!
This is a really nice tune from Felix and Volcano. I know nothing about them except they are from Dover in the USA. This tune though is lovely. This had me groovin away in the office, spinning around on my twirly chair. Enjoy!
Alright so, I am trawling through soundcloud.com as usual, looking for some new music. Today, I have been thinking about the Irish music scene, the Irish electronic music scene more specifically and the audience, [rightly corrected @Euphiophone] there is a lot of very good electronic music being made in ireland, and yet it seems to be largely ignored by Irish audiences.
But to get back on point, and talking about what these people are missing…
Today, I had the urge to find some beautiful Irish electronic music, something new, something enchanting. and this is what I came across:
This producer, who works under the monikers Fringe and Ilex, is making some beautiful electronic music! She has been making music since 2005 and I am looking forward to her album release which is coming soon! I dont want to try and describe it, i dont think ill do it justice. So do yourself a favour.
Take a moment. Plug your headphones in. Turn the volume up and, and sit back and enjoy!
Really enjoyed this show, had me up groovin around the house on Wednesday! Chocked full of great, downtempo, trip hop, dubstep, and any other weird and wonderful tunes I found floating around. I heard a rumour that Robert Glasper would be joined by Bilal for the Cork Jazz festival, which it turns out is true!!! This would be amazing!! I didnt even want to post this in case the 3 people who read my blog spread the word to far!! And I end up not getting a ticket. This is one show that I will not be missing!!
