Latest show on Space Invader Radio went out last Wednesday. I am not one to blow my own horn.. but i frickin’ love this show. Some fantastic tunes from putmeonit “We Love..” compilationsand the Electric Wizards and Dusty Scientists Beat Tape Vol 1. along with a few other gems I found out there.
This weeks a little different. No talking. No soul. No Jazz. Minimal, House, Techno, Eclectro and some re-edits for good measure. This one is bangin’ goodness.
Check out the latest show… No. 6. Its the first talky. The first show where on unleash my accent on the unsuspecting public. It was a bit of a labour as i had to figure out how I was going to do everything and ran into a number of problems… Thanks to Orsii for helping me sort stuff out!! And our fearless leader of Space Invader Radio who without things wouldn’t happen at all! Big Up @mattthegood
This show started out with two presents.. a Chet Baker CD and a Guru’s Jazzamataz. It sent me on a journey looking through old Jazz tunes tunes I hadn’t heard in ages… and some incredible ones, new to my ears, such as Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers.
So lots of Jazz with some Hip Hop and other bits and pieces thrown in for good measure!
This was the first show where i picked a style and went with it: Trip Hop with a few Lo Fi tunes that I found along the way… not that genres really matter but just to give you an idea of what to expect. I had so much fun diggin out tunes for this mix. From finding Aqrat on soundcloud to doing some just diggin around and coming across Wagon Christ, and not being able to pick between two tunes… so just throwing them both.
